What is solid media in microbiology? by
Solid media contains agar- a white jelly like substance extracted from sea algae chemically constitute of polysaccharide agarose, act as solid surface for microbial growth. It’s generally supplied as powder form alone or in some cases mixed with bacterial medium to provide solid surface for bacterial growth.
